At GooDog Training Academy, we try to remain on the cutting edge of animal behavioral science. Offering the most effective, veterinarian-backed training methodologies in Kilkenny. Providing a range of both private and group classes to fit your specific needs, all of our trainers are equipped to help you achieve your goals. From impulse control and obedience to complex commands and tricks—no pet is untrainable.
OUR TEAM
My name is Dagmara and I am a founder of GooDog Training Academy. I have always felt a deep connection with nature and I felt urged to gain a better understanding of effective and respectful communication with animals, dogs in particular. I have built my knowledge through extensive training in the fields of canine behaviour and nutrition. My technique is based on individual approach and respect. I am experienced in working with challenging and aggressive behaviour, addressing issues relating to bad habits, withdrawal, lack of trust or managing energetic and strong willed dogs. I believe and can prove to you that every dog can be a GooDog. A dog that can behave well in every situation. Let me help you and your dog become the true friend and companion you want him to be.
"I'm Siún (s-h-o-o-n) and I have been a registered veterinary nurse (RVN) for the past 7 years. I studied a bachelor's of science degree at Dundalk Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2016. When I graduated in November 2016, I moved to Surrey in the UK where I worked as a ward nurse at Fitzpatrick referrals (aka The Supervet). Eventually home sickness brought me back to Kilkenny in 2018, I was missing my dogs far too much and I couldn't be away from them any longer! I have always loved animals especially dogs! My best friend in the world was my golden retriever Labrador X, Óir. I was 10 when he came into my life and I trained him to jump obstacle courses, bark on command, play hide & seek and do many more fun tricks! I have always been so interested in canine behaviour and training since I was young."
